2008 MX-5
Convenience
The interior design themes of the new Mazda MX-5 are simple functionality and comfortable openness, fashioned with high-quality craftsmanship to delight sports car enthusiasts.
A T-shaped general layout joins the horizontal strength of the instrument panel to the substantial centre backbone tunnel.
4 round heating and cooling vents help establish a straight reference line across the front of the cockpit.
Piano-black finish provides a modern high-quality surface for several areas of the interior.
2 levels of interior trim are offered: fabric and leather. The fabric interior is an attractive monotone package with black fabric seat upholstery and silver-finished accents on the steering wheel, gauge rings, and inner door handles. The black leather interior provides a more elegant, high-tech look; prominent stitching with heavy thread enhances the appearance of the soft trim. There is also alternative saddle-tan leather with the feel of expensive footwear, horse saddles, and designer luggage.
Areas of the dash and doors are finished with two-tone black or black saddle trim. Silver-finished accents are provided for the door handles, door assist grips, and speaker rings.
For the 3rd Generation Limited model, exclusive red leather seats nicely match the exterior of the car, offering excellent support and an ideal driving position. The interior is also outfitted with chrome-silver design elements and a unique numbered badge stating the sequential production number.
